Welcome to Crystal Peaks

2025 Calendar

It is our joy to share with you, the essence of what the Lord has been doing at Crystal Peaks this past year. This poignant calendar captures “God-breathed” moments within the lives of our kids, volunteers and staff.

Services & Ministries

“This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” John 15:12

The heart of our session program is to provide a safe place for children, families and horses to experience the hope, healing and redemption of Christ. Through as many unique ways as there are unique children, the purpose of each session is to support individuals with the redeeming love of Jesus.

By inviting children and families to come as they are, the session leaders at Crystal Peaks work through a variety of activities—including horses—to encourage everyone toward genuine hope.

Our leaders tailor each one-on-one session to meet the needs of each individual child. Some of the session activities include: spending time with or riding a horse, woodworking, leatherworking, arts and crafts, games, gardening, sheep and lamb care, acts of service and helping others through volunteerism. Everything that happens within a session is chosen with the intention to help encourage individuals toward healing, strength, hope, love and trust through a unique and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Crystal Peaks has learned that it is good to give a man a fish, it’s great to teach him how to fish—but it’s far greater to lead men and women to place their fish into the hands of Jesus Christ and watch Him feed the masses.

Since 2005, Crystal Peaks has hosted Information Clinics, now called Ignition, for those who have a similar heart to speak hope into the lives of kids and families. This event is designed to assist others who are passionate to start a similar ranch or ministry. Our clinic attendees have started over 200 new ranch ministries across the United States and worldwide.

Since 1995, Crystal Peaks has been involved in the rescue of more than 350 horses. Because the Ranch was founded in-part as an equine rehabilitation facility, most of our horse arrive devastated by the effects of neglect, starvation and violent abuse. Children rally with the staff in creating a devoted team of support for the weak and battered equine. Together, encircled in the loving embrace of a leader, the wounded hearts of both child and horse can find healing.

Currently, the 105-acre Ranch supports between 25 to 35 resident horses.

Volunteer & Donate

The volunteer program at Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch is at the very heart of what we do. Every act of service here embodies the spirit of Christ: love in action. By giving the gift of their time, our volunteers free up the staff to pour into the children and families we serve. The generosity of our volunteers has far greater implications than the obvious completion of ranch tasks. Their acts of love trickle down to shower the kids who visit here with the very love of Christ.

Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch exists because of the continuing kindness of those who believe in what God is doing through this ministry. Whether through finances, volunteering, encouragement or prayer, we are deeply grateful for the support we continually receive. Often, those who shoulder with us, or who are considering how they can help, wish to see the Ranch.

It is our delight to share with every individual who sojourns here how God can transform pain into something beautiful and powerful when we give it all to Him. Shared on the framework of ranch beginnings, horses, kids, families and properties, our visitor’s questions are answered while their hearts are being filled with the hope, healing and encouragement of God
