I’m no stranger to the wounding arrows of the Enemy. Nor have I been spared from being lured by his awful lies. Falling victim to these lies and wounds, I once lived a secret life bound in a self-made prison. Finally, the truth of Galatians 5:1 broke through the deception, “It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
In the process of learning wholehearted devotion to my Savior, I heard Jesus’ still small voice’ whisper a single, profound question: “What kind of testimony would your life be for Me . . . if you choose to stay in this pain?” Fueled by this question and the genuine freedom and hope of the Lord, I’ve made the choice to STAND—and declare my God victorious!
I understand now that regardless of the circumstances that come up in my life—I stand in the TRUTH that Jesus’ freedom reigns over every challenge I’ll ever face! Revelation 12:11b states, “And they defeated him (the Enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.” By applying the truth found in God’s Word, the Enemy’s grasp on my life has been broken. In combining my testimony with the power of God’s Word, it’s my desire to proclaim that hardship in this life has great purpose!
Acts 20:24 has become a very special verse: “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” I’m incredibly honored to serve the Lord in ministry with Kim, Troy and the staff here at the Ranch.
